🐻 Grizzly 399

– Wednesday Wonder –

In the heart of Grand Teton National Park, a legend roamed:

Grizzly 399 (1996 ~ 2024), the world’s most famous – and photographed – mother bear.

For nearly three decades, she has defied all odds – raising 18 cubs, choosing to live near roads and visitor areas yet remaining truly wild, inspiring awe, respect, and a sense of wonder in all who were lucky enough to see her.

Her legacy lingers on… in the whispering pines, the crisp mountain air, and the wild heart of Grand Teton National Park.
